Q: Will my blinkers blink faster if I install a Custom LED Integrated Tail or the Universal LED Flushmounts and remove my stock blinkers?

    A: Yes

Q: Why do my blinkers blink fast when I remove my stock blinkers?

    A: The stock flasher relays on our motorcycles - which are the devices that make blinkers "blink" - are designed to blink twice as fast as normal when a bulb is burned out.  This is to let the operator know that there is a blinker bulb burned out.  Unfortunately, most after market blinker products (including Custom LED products) consume so little power compared to the stock bulbs, that the flasher relay thinks that a bulb is out when this is not the case.

Q: How do I slow down the blinkers on my bike?

Q: If I decide not to slow down the flash rate, will it harm my bike or its wiring in the long run?

    A: No it will not harm the bike, and as a matter of fact, some people prefer the faster blink rate as it is more attention grabbing.

Q: I installed a Custom LED Integrated Tail and another manufacturers LED flushmounts and now my blinkers wont blink at all, what's wrong and how do I fix it?

    A: If the amount of power consumed by the blinkers is too little, the stock flasher relay will fall below a threshold where it will no longer blink. To fix this problem, you must either replace the flasher relay with one that does not have a minimum load requirement and/or a bulb-out notification such as The Custom LED Electronic LED Flasher Relay.  Or, if your bike does not have a replaceable flasher relay then you need to install the Custom LED Stage II Load Equalizer.

Q: What is your standard shipping method?

    A: The products that Custom LED sells directly from this website ship VIA the United States Postal Service.  You will have a choice of shipment service speed at checkout. 

    NOTE: Items shipped from Custom LED are NOT insured against theft or loss in transit or after delivery.  We will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.  If you wish to have your shipment insured, please contact us before placing your order.

Q: What is a better way to correct the flash rate on my bike, the The Custom LED Electronic LED Flasher Relay or the Custom LED Stage II Load Equalizer?

    A: The better way to correct the flash rate on any car or motorcycle is to replace the factory flasher relay with one that does not have a minimum load requirement and/or bulb-out notification.  The Custom LED Electronic LED Flasher Relay is the best solution for motorcycles and cars with compatible flasher relays (see product page for compatibility note).

    By replacing your flasher relay, you are taking advantage of the power saving aspects of the LEDs (or smaller lamps) you have installed.  The Custom LED Electronic LED Flasher Relay corrects the bikes blink rate without wasting power, and for HALF the price of two pair of the Custom LED Stage II Load Equalizer!

    However, some cars and motorcycles do not have a compatible (two wire) or replaceable flasher relay, which is where the Custom LED Stage II Load Equalizer reigns supreme!

Q: How many Flasher Relays will be required for my motorcycle?

    A: Only one flasher relay per motorcycle.

Q: Why are some of your products available directly through CustomLED.com, and other products take me to McCoy MotorSports website?

    A: McCoy MotorSports is Custom LEDs distributor and customer service liaison for our Integrated LED Tail Lights, Magic Blinkers, ELFR-P, and Magic Rainbow Accent Lighting System.  As a result, Custom LED has agreed not to sell these products directly.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Q: Are your products DOT approved?

    A: No. None of our products have been submitted for DOT approval.  Our products are designed and manufactured for "off-road use only".  There is no such thing as a DOT approved integrated LED tail light because of DOT requirements for blinker positioning.

Q: What are you warranty policies?

    A: All of our products are covered by a manufacturers warranty, the duration varies. 

    • Our integrated LED tail lights are covered by a full 2-year warranty from original purchase date for electronics, and limited 30 day warranty for the plastic lens assembly.  Items damaged in transit or during/after installation are not covered under warranty.
    • All other products are backed by a 1 year warranty from original purchase date.
    • For more information on the limited warranty coverages, please contact us with your specific questions.

    This warranty covers repair/refurbish costs for items that are found to have a manufacturing defect. The customer must pay shipping costs to ship items to Custom LED for warranty claims.  Return shipping will be at the discretion of Custom LED.

Q: What are you repair/refurbish services and policies?

    A: If you have an item that falls outside of the warranty period, or you have damaged an item unintentionally, Custom LED offers repair/refurbish services for most of our products. Generally we ask no more than the cost of return shipping in exchange for a full refurbish!  Customer service is a top priority at Custom LED.

Q: What is your return policy?

    A: our return policy is that we refund the merchandise value (subtotal on invoice) less a restocking fee for items returned in unused/unopened condition within 30 days of receipt.

    We do not refund shipping charges to and from custom led. All orders that are canceled after the order has shipped will be treated as returns.  Only items purchased directly from custom led qualify.  Restocking fees are a minimum of: 5% for load equalizers, led automotive bulbs, electronic led flasher relay; 10% for integrated led tail lights; 20% for universal round led clusters and universal led flushmounts.  Restocking fees may be higher if items need to be repackaged and inspected. 

    Items that are damaged in return-transit are not eligible for refund.

    These return policies apply only to items purchased directly from customled.com.

Q: What are the terms of your Satisfaction Guarantee?

    A: We are so proud and confident about the products we design, manufacture and distribute at Custom LED, that we are now offering a satisfaction guarantee for eligible items sold directly from our web site (CustomLED.com).  If you are not satisfied with the fit or function of any of our products, or feel that our claims are overstated in any way, you may return it for a full refund!  We can make this guarantee because we consistently have customers who are more than satisfied with the performance of our products.  With all of the claims and cheap low quality products on the market, it's hard to differentiate a quality product like ours from the "competition".  This satisfaction guarantee offers our customers a risk-free trial of our products so they can see first hand the quality and performance difference our products offer.  If you are still skeptical, you can read some representative reviews here.

    CONDITIONS:  The satisfaction guarantee does not apply to: improper items purchased, misunderstanding of claims, description or function, items damaged in transit or during/after installation, or items willfully or un-willfully damaged by the customer or installer.  The customer is required to cover return shipping for items being returned under the satisfaction guarantee.  Items must be deemed eligible by Custom LED customer support before being returned.  Items must be returned within 7 days of receipt, and in as-shipped condition.  If items are found to be damaged or misused, they will be ineligible for the satisfaction guarantee.

    ELIGIBLE ITEMS:  All of our Integrated LED Tail Lights (retrofit kits and complete units), Flasher Relays, Wicked Strobes and Load Equalizers are eligible!
