This retrofit is for an OEM 2002-2003 Yamaha YZF-R1 Tail Light.  This product allows you to totally remove the rear blinkers on your R1!!  All the internals of the stock tail light housing are removed and replaced with a professionally made Custom LED circuit board for your YZF-R1. 

Instead of the 15 LEDs you get from the factory, the Custom LED solution gives you 36 Ultra Bright Red LEDs and 40 Ultra Bright Yellow LEDs (20 yellow each side in the arrow shape)

The RED LED's are dual intensity for running light and brake light.  The Yellow comes on for turns only.

The brightness of this unit is amazing - it's almost borderline too bright!  But on a motorcycle there's no such thing as too bright, we need all the preventative measures we can achieve. 

Not only does this unit clean up the tail section of the R1 by eliminating the need for the stock blinker stalks, but it also makes a lasting impression on anyone who sees it in action.  It is awesome.  The pictures don't ever do it justice because we haven't found a camera that's capable of handling the amount of light that screams from these LED's.

CUSTOM LED 2002 - 2003 YAMAHA YZF-R1 INTEGRATED TAIL LIGHT PCB

Circuit board installs into OEM tail light housing according to provided instructions.

 

The Custom LED 2002 - 2003 Yamaha YZF-R1 Integrated LED Tail Light is a retrofit kit which must be installed into the OEM tail light.

There may be additional accessories required to correct blinker problems on your motorcycle if you remove your OEM turn signals.  These accessories could not be built into the tail light, and are generally optional and specific to different customers needs, so they are sold separately. Please see the recommended accessories above, and read about the general issues and solutions in our Frequent Questions Page.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Installation of this product requires that you remove the OEM tail light from the motorcycle for the retrofit kit installation.  Please consult a qualified technician or your repair manual for the proper procedure to remove the OEM tail light.
