4-way Flash Fix.

The product is great. But you need to know about this company. It fixed my 44-Way Flash problem. Very fast shipping and easy to install (with the hand drawn schematic from Custom LED). I'm an old man who is not an electrician. This company first explained the problem, then the correct fix, then drew instructions on how to install. I thought I was in the 60's again. You simply don't get help from anyone like this anymore. These people should get a medal! I'll go to Custom LED for any more electrical issues and buy all my parts there. 4-WAY / HAZARD BLINK PROBLEM ON MOTORCYCLES WITH LED TURN SIGNALS

work with a 100 percent after i installed it . Here is the deal : I purchased a ELFR-1 ELECTRONIC LED FLASHER RELAY WITH OEM CONNECTOR from customled.com And I used the Custom LED ELFR-1 flasher relay on my Honda VT600 when I converted the lighting to all LED. I did experience the 4-way flasher syndrome and needed to install diodes in the turn signal indicator light circuit to eliminate that problem. This was a little more work than expected; but the result was very good LED lighting. So long story short . Once you properly identify the wires in the harness leading to the gauge cluster, you cut them and install a Diode (1N4001) in each circuit (with the gray band towards the gauge cluster) on the two wires feeding power from the turn signal circuit. You will then combine the outputs of the diodes into one of the two wires leading into the gauge cluster, and ground the other wire going into the gauge cluster. The diodes will keep electricity from being able to cross over from one turn signal circuit to the other, but it will allow the two circuits to be combined to power the indicator lamp properly. I'll up load some pics and vids.

Hi I recently installed led indicators and there working fine each side works as it should the hazards work perfectly as they should the only problem I have is the flasher light on the instrument panel lights but does not flash....even when the hazards are on all four indicators work perfectly but on the instrument panel the two indicator lights are stay on solid... The LEDs installed don't need a resistor but the hazards needed a resistor fitted for them to work.... Hi Paul, the turn signal indicator light on the gauge cluster is a true indication of what the flasher relay is outputting. It seems like your flasher relay is stuck in the no-blink condition and that your turn signal lamps have their own internal timing mechanism which is allowing them to blink even with a steady voltage output to them. You can confirm this with a test light or volt meter by measuring the voltage at a turn signal lamp. It should fluctuate between 12V and 0V when the blinkers are on. If not, you need to replace the flasher relay with one of our compatible ELFR relays. You did not mention the make, model and year motorcycle you so I can not make a specific recommendation. I just bought a 23 Honda phantom and put it led turn signals and am having the 4way flashing problem I took the signal indicator bulb out for now my question is do I need one or two of the diodes

I just installed LED signals on my 2021 Yamaha R3 and installed a flasher relay as well to fix the "hyper flash" problem. However the issue that I am now left with is that all my signals are flashing when I turn on my bike. I couldn't get a clear answer from TST without them blaming me for improperly installing them using the same harness converters and relay they provided. I looked up online and saw that I may possibly need a "diode assembly". I am by no means an electrician and I would prefer to not have to cut or splice any wires. I was told that you guys could maybe offer some assistance. Any suggestions?

Both myself and others have had the same problem and the answer sounds complicated but it's actually pretty easy. Yes, you need a diode in the line to stop the current from flowing from one turn signal into the other one. It can frequently be installed at the dash turn signal indicator. If you buy a diode assembly for $10 - $15 it's highway robbery but makes things very simple. I would recommend you just do that. From there you can find many installation diagrams and instructions on the Internet and you don't need to be a scientist to follow the simple directions. For less than $15 you can solve your problem. Everyone else has and you will too. Go to e-bay and type in "diode harness for motorcycle turn signals." You'll get what you need there. Good luck.

The article describes the cause, the solution, and even has a link to the diodes that we sell. Obviously the diodes will not solve any issues related to mis-wiring, however if the problem is simply due to the turn signal indicator lamp in the gauge cluster than this approach will certainly fix it.

Hi, I bought your electronic relay for my 1988 honda steed 400. Now I got the 4 blinker problem... I bought two randoms diodes from my local shop but still doesnt work. What are the specifications of the diode you guys sell. Are there stronger and weaker diodes? I'm learning, have no idea what to do. Thanks

Hello Derek, thank you for your interest in our products! The diodes we recommend are the "1N4001" diodes as indicated on this page. That is the universal part code for this type of diode. It's unlikely that the diodes you purchased are the problem - unless you purchased a Zener diode with a low reverse voltage threshold. Please check your installation carefully, and make sure the bands on the diode are facing towards the gauge cluster. Installing the diodes backwards will be problematic for sure.
